ATV 1 or ATV 2 + XBMC-PVR - wich one is recommended as frontend.

I'm thinking of getting an Appletv generation 1 with Broadcom crystal HD chip or an Appletv second generation.
Will any one of them with XBMC PVR installed, be able to receive 1080i/720p streams from tvheadend ?

I think you can better ask this question on the xbmc forums. Tvheadend will just provide the dvb streams to xbmc. So there is no requirement from tvheadend on the clients.
