does it play for a while then go black screen and go back to the file? or straight away as you play it?

I have the same problem, the new version does not work with mkv and PSMs however if access to the previous version movies open properly.

Perform the test by wireless or wired streaming and the problem continues

showtime-with 3.1.203.g477b9 does not work

I've played lots of mkv files from my network drive through Showtime and I have to say 99% of them played fine.

I've tested a lot of the builds too. I'm currently using 3.1.212.

Is it all mkv files that won't play?

is force level 4.1 turned on? its optional now but allways active before

I've tried it with force 4.2 turned on and off with no difference.

No video ever gets loaded, it simply goes to a black screen likes its getting ready to play something and then it goes back to the directory listing. It appears to be all MKV's that I have that won't play. Keep in mind, I don't actually have a lot of MKV's with only my recent movies being in MKV.

you on a wifi network or ethernet?

Transfer the file to the internal does it play?

I'm on wired ethernet.

I haven't tried transfering to internal as I don't have the space on my internal hard drive.
