I doubt Cinavia has any influence over Showtime whatsoever.

Me neither, it's probably something else.

I dont know what Cinavia protected video is but I am concerned about this issues. Showtime hangs my Ps3 almost everytime I watch movies for more than 1h and hard reboots are the only escape.
At first I thought it was because of 1080p media content that Showtime cant handle perfectly yet. But then I tried 720p even mHD content, movies automatically got kicked out sometimes and I have to click X to continue (thanks to playback feature)
@Andoma: I love what u done with Showtime and Ps3 and I really appreciate your works. I use showtime everyday. Andoma you rocks !

I have watched many videos longer than 1 hour and they all played well. So it's not the size issue. there might be some content in video files causes the problem and I know it's hard to debug and find out.

movies automatically got kicked out sometimes=>Maybe there is something wrong with your remote controle? I had similar problem but that was my remote controle problem(L1 button issue).

I've checked my remote and I am pretty sure the remote is fine. I dont think the kicking out issue caused by remote malfunction. It also strange that some of my particular 1080p content can playback "smoothier" than mHD content, So I guess the issue is not related to file size or the bitrate but memory leakage
