Installing Showtime on PS3 FW 4.21

My sound like a dumb question, but how do you install this app? Everything I've read says in runs natively as homebrew. What exactly does that mean? I understand you don't need to jailbreak the PS3 to install. So how do you do it?

One does need to be on 3.55/CFW to be able to install Showtime.

Is there a legitimate downgrade process or code yet from FW 4.21 to 3.55? Or do I need to wait?

There is a downgrade process, unfortunately it would require disassembling the ps3 and soldering/clipping stuff into it. Not something for everyday end users lol

To add to what Shloink You said, some newer models that shipped with firmware 3.61 or higher can not be downgraded to 3.55

I can't play showtime on firmware 4.20 debug,also having a hard time unselfing so I can fself. Any help is appreciated.

edit, ok I now have .elf now to fself.

Can you please post .elf versions along with your signed selfs for future versions?
