Description

It's sometimes easier to have a static tree like menu navigation instead of a navigation history with back and forward functions. This way going back would always lead to "home". There wouldn't be much loss of comfort but instead navigation is more self explaining to users without and idea what a navigation history is.

A setting for enabling and disabling navigation history would be best.

Care to explain a bit more?

Do you mean that 'back' should just take the user to the home page?
