I'm spanish, this is a google translate.
This video show an AVI (divx) high resolution (1920x818) from DNLA server. The picture freezes every 10-20 seconds (depending on bitrate of the scene). Queue len is 21, and suddenly comes to going under, stays at 0 few seconds and the frozen image. (Mkv videos same issue)
The same AVI played on PS3 is perfect, fluid from the beginning.
Looking at NIC in XP I see that when I play the video with Showtime, transfer is between 10 and 15 Mbps, however, when I do with PS3 is 70 Mbps constant.
I think isn't buffer issue, I think to work properly, the DLNA client requests more data than they really need
Enviroment
DNLA Server: TVersity
O.S: Windows XP
LAN: Wired 100 Mbps
Mode: Streaming (not transcoding)
Excelent JOB!!!

Just wanted to say that I'm working on a new buffering mechanism in Showtime that hopefully will work much better.
It will take some time though as it require a lot of testing.
