Description

From the two examples of the descriptions below, the EPG description shows the episode number (sometimes) and subtitle for the show. If you set up a pvr entry to record all "Waybuloo", they overwrite themselves because tvheadend doesn't know the subtitle, in this case Frog. Mythtv handles this correctly, but i want to use tvheadend ;)

Waybuloo
Frog: Animated series set in the magical land of Nara. De Li finds a frog which makes a strange sound, so she tries to get it to make the sound again for everyone to hear. [S]
Children's / Youth

Big Barn Farm
6/20. To Catch a Thief: Animated adventures of a group of baby animals who live together on Big Barn Farm. Digger discovers that his sticks, squeaky toys and blanket are missing. [S]
Children's / Youth

OK.. My C is rusty and i haven't spent much time with the code, but the following patch appears to work. From my perspective it needs either the ability to turn it off, or turn it off per channel.

  • Assignee changed from Andreas Ă–man to Adam Sutton

Sub-title field will be supported, though not currently done, in my new EPG code.

Parsing out of episode numbers will NOT happen at this stage. The reason is it's a non-trivial issue, since you've got to cover all manner of different ways the data can be represented and possible language differences etc...

If you really need episode info you're better of using a richer data source such as XMLTV.

That being said I will be revisiting the issue of episode numbering when I get a chance.
