Description
Hello,
I would like to report a bug about subtitles.
Showtime does not read or even detect if a subtitle name contains a point.
For example:
The Movie Of The Year.english.srt
The Movie Of The Year.frensh.srt
The Movie Of The Year.italian.srt
The Movie Of The Year.russian.srt
This is very useful to have as sometimes our movie contains more then one subtitle file.
thanks for looking into this!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think showtime can only shows subtitle with the same name of the movie.
Like movie.mp4 / subtitle.srt
If you would like more than one subtitle, you should consider using mkv container. With mkvmerge gui you can create an mkv file with multiple subtitles, audio, event video.

I dont think so, but the problem is that it doesnt not detect subtitles having the following format for example (with "dot" in the name):
The Movie Of The Year.english.srt
The Movie Of The Year.frensh.srt
The Movie Of The Year.italian.srt
The Movie Of The Year.russian.srt

Does your movie named "The Movie Of The Year.english.avi/mp4/mkv/ogm/..." ?

my movie is named:
The Movie Of The Year.avi

So your subtitle must be named:
The Movie Of The Year.srt
Maybe I'm wrong, I quote what I said days ago above: "I think showtime can only shows subtitle with the same name of the movie."
But if you are to stubborn to try...

lol!
I'm telling you it DOES work when you name it with the same name.
but open your eyes and see that if you have subtitles of dif languages, and are marked like this:
The Movie Of The Year.english.srt
The Movie Of The Year.frensh.srt
The Movie Of The Year.italian.srt
The Movie Of The Year.russian.srt
they are not read!

Are you playing with me or do you not want to understand ?
movie.avi with movie.srt should work, it works for you to, good.
movie.avi with movie.english.srt should not work, (I think, from the beginning) because your file is movie, and your sub file is movie.english, it does not work for you to, good. So where is the issue ?
If you want multiple subtitle from different languages, you should consider using mkv format, with mkvmerge it's easy.
After reading this, if you don't understand what I'm saying, I could do nothing more for you.

I suggest a feature to make it work like VLC on windows lol

Ok, so ask for a feature, don't report it as a bug, and don't argue as if.

If you use iso language code as language it will pick them up and select the one that is your preferred language (as configured in settings -> languages)
so call them
movie.eng.srt
movie.rus.srt
etc
For this to work you need also to enable the 'Include all subtitle files from movie directory'
setting in the subtitles configuration page.
