Provide metadata to post processing script via environment variables

Description
It would be nice if the parameters like filename and timestamps and the like could be passed to the post processing command via the environment.
This would mean that escaping could be completely bypassed, and there would be no need for any positional parameters to be passed to the script.
There would be no need to change the existing parameters and behaviour.
