Description
Hi i'm having this issue with the last 3 (if not wrong)testing builds and also with the latest stable (3.6.4), not all movies have this problem but the ones with the problems are the same from the first time i find out. Also i get memory warning from the beginning with all these but they all work flawlessly with an old build within multiman (3.5.44) without the memory issue and clicking sound. I'm using optical out and tversity without transcoding. Thanks alot for your wonderful application.

Sorry i forgot to add the log, plus there's something strange, the clip i made has no problem at all but the full movie does (like a click sound every second and the out of memory from the beginning). Here some extra info i have: this movie was a mp4 but i remuxed to mkv so i could play it with showtime some months ago, i'm using mkvmerge 5.2.1 i will try to find an update and try again, any info you need please let me know i will try to give you feedback, ty.

Hi, I installed some old builds to test and here they are: 3.5.72, 3.5.105, 3.5.72, 3.5.108, 3.5.172 and the last 5 or 6 others, the sound is working good with 3.5.73, 3.5.105 and 3.5.108, beyond these there's the problem again(also the note that all these builds also have the red memory warning but not the one within of multiman).

Extra info: got more mp4 movies no problem all fine but remuxed to mkv using mkvmerge 5.5.0 (i like to have have all my movies within mkv) and there's the problem again bad sound but they both works fine with the multiman's showtime, i will add the most recent showtime log plus the mp4/mkv media info of a tested movie.

Ok, So the attached file works it seems?!
Can't use that for much then.
When attaching broken files you must not remux them. Just cut them according to the guidlines

Hi, i have good news and bad news, the good news is my files are good, the problem apparently is because of my directory structure, here what's look like in my external hdd: Media/Moives/ (i have almost 1500 folders with pictures inside each one). If i get a "faulty" movie folder ie: Terminator 2 (3.5gb 720p mkv 4.1) and play it from the root it's all good, i don't have memory warning and also no problem with the sound, but if i put it again inside the movie folders i get the problem back, just to put it more clear i did also cut/copy the whole movie folder and put it in the root and the same problem keep happening, apparently the new showtime can't handle too much folders (old one could). I feel sorry for making this a mess next time i will write a bug in the forums first to not waste a ticket
hope you could help me with this problem and if you need more info and feedback let me know, and a big thanks for your awesome app once again.

Hi, i have fixed my problem no more sound problem and no more memory warnings, all i had to do was to add all folders starting with A into a new A folder and the same with the others into the first letter, apparently the memory will drain when you are trying to navigate over 1000+ folders, just before this is closed could you tell me how can i change the default folder size? i like the big ones because i can search folders faster that way, once again thanks

- Subject changed from Clicking Sound / memory problems to Showtime consumes a lot of memory when browsing a directory with 1000+ folders in it.
- Category changed from audio to filesystem
Sounds like Showtime is doing something bad when you have that many folders :/
Is this over UPnP or on the HDD or over SMB or?

Hi, just wanted to add more feedback
I use wireless g network, and i got the sound problem again with a movie inside a folder with 350 or something folders (had to split into two folders to get that movie to work flawless) apparently 100-150 is a good choice, hope this info is worth for something
